Frequently asked questions
Will this delete my original images?
No. Originals are kept by default; WebP versions are created alongside them. Deleting originals is a separate, optional step you control.
Does it work with images from AI tools?
Yes. Because it hooks into WordPress’s own image pipeline rather than a specific upload source, any image added to the Media Library gets converted, AI-generated or not.
What if a visitor’s browser doesn’t support WebP?
The plugin serves WebP where supported and automatically falls back to the original format for older browsers.
